SummerSounds welcomes that sound as we continue to celebrate America’s birthday with the music of “The English Channel.”
Known as “America’s premier British invasion band,” The English Channel pays tribute to the original sounds of the invasion from across the pond that began when the Beatles landed in New York, followed by a host of others.
The English Channel offers a flawless recreation of the classic rock and pop hits of that crowded the airwaves for a decade from the mid-sixties to the mid-seventies.
Based in Richmond, VA, The English Channel, recently earned kudos as the best tribute band at the 10th Annual RAMMIE Awards. It boasts a constantly evolving playlist. The band’s rich harmonies, combined with flawless guitar, keyboard and percussion work, recreate the sounds of a host of British invaders including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Moody Blues, Dusty Springfield, Procol Harum and Queen, among others.
